Africa as an old continent with a young population, rich in resources and with great growth potential - a future market for investors and exporters. Last year, the economies of the 54 African countries grew by an average of 4 percent, against a growth rate of 3 percent worldwide. This positive trend continues in the near future. By 2021, according to the IMF, the global economy will grow annually by 4.2 percent. The reasons for this are among other things a strongly growing young population, increasing consumption, increasing productivity and stability.

African states are currently investing huge amounts in infrastructure projects, ports, railways and power stations. The revenues from the sale of raw materials and the rise in commodity prices have filled the pockets of several African countries.

Africa has become self-confident, Africa is the continent of opportunities. The associated economic upswing of 6 percent or more in some countries is already boosting the purchasing power there. 16 sub-Saharan Africain countries have seen an average growth of more than 5% for 10 years. Values, of which the rest of the world does not even dare to dream.

Interest in high-quality European goods is growing. An above-average young population, an increasing life expectancy and declining stereotypes also create a potent labor and consumer market. Economically, the African countries are a laboratory of the future. The big difference to former times: Africa has found the connection to the world economy.

Anyone who does not set foot in the emerging markets today in Africa will probably be among the losers of globalization tomorrow.
